Kristen & Andre’s Atrium Wedding

In May, I had the best time getting to know Kristen and Andre for their engagement and wedding. These sweethearts from DC are the embodiment of joy!  The combination of Andre’s quick wit and Kristen’s infectious laugh, made me fall in love with this couple!  When I arrived to Kristen’s hotel room on their wedding day I was greeted by Kristen and her two bridesmaids and the fun began.  Kristen was busy working on the finishing touches to her vows and her positive vibes set the tone for an amazing day!    After having the best time capturing the girls getting ready at the Blockade Runner in Wrightsville Beach, I headed downtown to the Atrium to get ready for the ceremony.  Guests were greeted to a beautiful bohemian set up complete with furnishings from Martha My Dear Rentals, Flowers from Fiore Fine Flowers, and a stunning cake by Imaginary Cakes.

The ceremony was just about as picturesque as you could imagine an Atrium wedding to be. Kristen and Andre both shed tears as Kristen walked down the aisle.  I loved that she took her time and really savored it, pausing before she began her walk to take it all in.  Their vows were full of happy tears and laughter and everyone was touched as Andre would reach over to help dry Kristen’s tears along the way.  The reception was every bit as beautiful as it was emotional! From the perfect weather, the gorgeous location, and even the southern style dinner, it was a true North Carolina experience for all of the out of state guests who joined in the celebration of Kristen and Andre’s marriage!  Despite how beautiful and amazing the wedding was, the love these two share completely outweighs every ounce of beauty that the wedding day held and I know that their marriage will be just as beautiful as they are!
