We must be the luckiest photographers in the world to have such amazing people to work with! Chloe and Jeff’s wedding was a dream team of an amazing bridal party, fun and loving families and the some of the best vendors in town! Their wedding was surrounded with love and support from all angles and it really showed! With my second shooter extraordinaire and our photo booth ready, we had all the photos covered from start to finish!
The wedding day was flawlessly coordinated by Jill White at The Atrium by Flynn Ligon. Jenn Rayle coordinated at the Balcony on Dock. The bride’s getting ready location was the beautiful Hotel Tarrymore. The Groom’s getting ready location was the Wilmingtonian. All food was catered by the amazing people at Balcony on Dock. Jason Tatum from Active DJ Entertainment was our DJ. Maura Kropke was the violinist at the ceremony and cocktail hour. Our beautiful cake was created by One Belle Bakery, it had three layers of chocolate, almond and strawberry. The gorgeous flowers were styled by Fiore Fine Florists.
Some of our favorite details and moments:
– Chloe’s fabulous Kate Spade clutch!
– The adorable first look with Chloe’s Stepdad
– The unbelievable fun and energy from the groom and his groomsmen. They were fantastic!
– The Father of the Groom’s tearjerker speech that left not a dry eye at the the reception, photographers included!
– The giant cookie bar with tall glasses of chocolate milk to help make it the ultimate experience 🙂 All the cookies were baked by the bride and groom’s family members ( a Pittsburgh family tradition ). They donated the left over cookies to a local homeless shelter.
Advice from the Bride:
Have fun! Enjoy every moment planning, preparing and celebrating as this time will go by quickly. Hire experienced vendors and LISTEN to their advice as this is their specialty. Stay true to your vision and DO NOT try and please everyone…it’s impossible. Remember that this day is about a lifetime commitment to the one you love. It’s a celebration of your love. ( it’s easy to forget this with all the planning). Finally, something that I always try to remember…”always be a lady.” I was so glad that I only had 2 drinks. I did not want to be a drunk bride : ).
The few tiny things that I would have done differently; I wish that I could have had some time alone on the big day. It’s exhausting always being around a lot of people. Also, definitely get a hair trial! I didn’t and wish that I would have. But all in all, don’t sweat the small stuff. The imperfections are sometimes the best memories!
Brides take note! Chloe was the ultimate lady and the most gracious and kind person! I truly wish that she and her fabulous sister (the Maid of Honor) lived closer so we could hang out! Congratulations Chloe and Jeff! We wish you a lifetime of happiness!!
