Caylea and Zack’s wedding was full of love and charm and defiantly a day to remember. We had the pleasure of getting to know Caylea during her bridal session (which we shared back in June and can be viewed here). These two lovebirds had so many sentimental moments during their wedding day, but a personal favorite was when they prayed for each other and shared gifts before the wedding.
Caylea & Zack’s wedding was held at the beautiful Saint Thomas Preservation Hall (one of our personal favorites!). We loved everything about their wedding from the flowers provided by Fiore Fine Flowers, to the amazing catering done by Sweet and Savory, to the always delicious cake from Tammy and her crew over at Creative Cake Design! Caylea stunned in her gorgeous Stella York gown and flawless hair and makeup by Hypnotix Salon. After the sweet ceremony the couple danced into the evening with the DJ stylings of By The Sea DJ!
Caylea & Zack were kind enough to share some of their thoughts about their wedding day:
WONDERFUL! I loved how (well, how I imagine) you guys captured our day! I feel like you blended in well with all of our craziness and it seemed like you guys just captured our day with our friends and family exactly how I wanted! 🙂
I am not the most artistic person, and I will admit that. So with all of the amazing DIY touches going on in weddings these days I was honestly afraid my vision for the wedding wouldn’t shine through. However, I was so wrong! I wanted a simple but timeless romantic wedding theme. Basically, I tried my best to do a few modern touches in hope that in 20 years I don’t say “what in the world was I thinking with hydrangea blue bridesmaid dresses?!” Ha-ha!… A few of my touches were spray painted gold glitter center pieces, thanks to the talent of my Maid of Honor, all of my chalkboard signs came to life, and I made my own framed guestbook! The rest of my decorations were mainly candles and flowers, which is what I wanted to begin with!
I would just like to say that yes, all of the tiny little details matter, but they do not matter enough to stress over them! The best part of the day by far is spending it with your husband, and your dearest family and friends! To tell you the truth, I can’t wait to see my pictures that way I can see what my venue really looked like all decorated, ha-ha! I was so wrapped up (just like I wanted to be) talking with Zack about how it just felt like a dream that we finally made it to this point and celebrating with friends and family, that I forgot to soak in what the venue really looked like!
Zack said his favorite part was walking out after the ceremony after he “kissed the bride” because it was finally official that I was his wife, because he already felt married to me on the inside…
