We successfully lived in gratitude in November. With so many things to be thankful for, I watched in wonder, knowing how many memories we had made in such a short time. We started the month out with my favorite yearly tradition of going to the Cape Fear Fair! I didn’t bring my camera with me, but my iPhone did a pretty good job!
We enjoyed visiting Dad at his new shop (more details coming soon!) and raking leaves in the yard!
For Thanksgiving, we visited Barrett’s Mom in Burlington, NC.
Ha ha many poor cats were “loved” on by Nigel and Berlin 🙂 When we got home we had a big surprise! Nigel was eating his chicken tender and all of a sudden realized he had lost his first tooth and accidentally swallowed it! This was a little overwhelmingly exciting at first, I had to have a lot of self control to not freak out. It is amazing that my (not so little anymore) boy is now turning 6, on Dec 2nd, and has lost his first tooth. Wow, time flies! It was so fun having our first visit from the tooth fairy too!
Finally, this month was full of birthday parties! Many of our friends had birthdays and we had Nigel’s birthday party yesterday. All in all a really fantastic month!
And one of the best things of all is that Erin (yes the famous Anchored in Love Erin!) drove in from Atlanta in time for Nigel’s party and is spending some time in town with us! Hurray!!

Another month of the year has come and gone! Usually October is my most favorite month, but this year I am yearning for Christmastime! The countdown is on and as soon as 11/1 hits I am turning up the Christmas music! I have been baking like crazy lately (I know my waistline will thank me for that lol). We had a great month and one of the highlights was a family trip to Maze Craze in Hallsboro, NC. Our homeschool group CHEW, Christian Home Educators of Wilmington, had the maze to ourselves, the weather was perfect and we had a blast! I am so thankful for this challenge, one again helping me capture the wonderful memories and getting to be in front of the camera for once! (more…)
